Cousin! Announced when Xbox exec, Peter Moore, revealed the series logo tattooed on his bicep at E3, Grand Theft Auto IV did away with the kitchen sink approach of San Andreas in a then staggering recreation of New York City el royale ndb. You might not be able to base jump off mountains, but this is one of Rockstar’s best, most affecting stories.

With a perfect blend of atmosphere, action and story, Resident Evil 4 totally redefined the 3rd person shooter, and it featured some incredible set pieces like battling against chainsaw-wielding maniacs, giant men, giant fish, tiny men in Napoleon costumes, and medium-sized centipede men. RE4 unlocked the true potential of the series in a way that hasn’t been matched before or since, and will probably always be the most universally beloved Resident Evil title. – Jeremy Azevedo (Read Our Review)

Not only did I get completely lost in the massive single-player world of Red Dead Redemption, to the point where I’d started talking with a bit of a drawl because I was so used to hearing it, but it also drew me into online gaming unlike anything I’d played before. Never before had I so successfully crafted my own stories and adventures (with friends and strangers alike) than in Red Dead’s Free Roam mode. It was the kind of game you couldn’t wait to discuss with your friends the next day. Everyone had their own amazing tales to tell about their time in the old west, and you were constantly making new ones every time you turned it on. – Jon Ryan (Read Our Review)

The only time the Yankees got a runner to second base against Buehler came when Giancarlo Stanton doubled in the fourth. But when Anthony Volpe singled to shallow left with two outs, Yankees third-base coach Luis Rojas aggressively sent Stanton home, and the imposing DH was cut down by a perfect throw from Teoscar Hernández.

“Obviously, you want the chance to compete,” he said, “especially on the biggest stage like this is. Yeah, I knew wasn’t going to budge. It’s hard to. You’ve got guys like Matzek and Minter and Luke and Will at the back end coming in, you can’t blame him for going to those guys. Those guys, time in and time out, get it done, and they did it again tonight.”

Freddie Freeman homered for the third straight game and Walker Buehler pitched another World Series gem as Los Angeles beat the slumping New York Yankees 4-2 on Monday night for a 3-0 lead in the Fall Classic.

“Like I’ve been saying the last few days, those days off were huge for me,” Freeman said. “I got my ankle in a spot where every single game afterwards, it’s not as it was in the NLCS and NLDS. … I got my ankle in a spot where I could work on my swing, and I got it into a good spot, thankfully, going into the series.”

Wheeler didn’t pitch poorly, he was just ambushed by the first three batters of his outing and then surrendered a two-run homer to Alex Bregman in the fifth. Take away those mistakes and he allowed just two other hits in the outing.

He just doubled, apparently accidentally so, as he seemed confused by the ball going down the right-field line. He was 2 for 20 in the NLCS. He’s 3 for 3 tonight. And then he just got picked off to end the inning.

So the pressure’s on the boys from the Bronx. And they’ll send Carlos Rodón to the bump hoping/expecting that he’ll build on the adjustments he’s made in this postseason to not let the excitement get the best of him.

As for the bunts … well, Kiké Hernández dropped down a beautiful one for the Dodgers in the seventh inning, a classic deaden-the-ball-on-the-bat job, the way your high school coach taught you how to do it. It moved runners to second and third with one out exactly like it was supposed to … and then the Dodgers still didn’t score. (And may have gotten Clay Holmes settled in by giving him an out.) I know you all got excited by some 90s baseball there for a second, but this series, moving forward, will still be settled the 2024 way.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Yoshinobu Yamamoto walked back to his dugout and made the slightest tip of his cap to cheering fans. He left Japan for moments like this, an opportunity to put the Los Angeles Dodgers in control of the World Series.
