In Game 2, the Yankees had one hit in the first eight innings. In Game 3, they had four hits in the first eight innings. These ninth-inning Yankees sure can score, but the games have been decided before then with the Yankees lineup disappearing for extended stretches. The Dodgers took a two-run lead before the home team had a turn to bat Monday night. The game felt over almost before it began.
