Around the world is a card-based drinking game, similar to president, but more complex and at the same time quicker. The game requires one standard (52-card) deck of playing cards. And yet the Dodgers won the World Series in convincing fashion, over five games, because they were better in close contests. It took a walk-off grand slam in Game 1, a pair of 4-2 wins (Games 2 and 3) and a 7-6 nail-biter in Game 5, but the Dodgers didn’t make any enormous mistakes, and the Yankees handed them gift after gift in the deciding game.

Energy at Yankees stadium definitely deflated a bit after the top of the fifth inning. But hope is still alive with a couple of guys here just saying, “we got a game” as we all wait for the Yankees to take their next at bat.
