Boone made a mistake, Cortes made a bad pitch, and now the Dodgers have a 1-0 series lead.
Giancarlo Stanton wants a World Series ring, and he’s doing everything he can to drag the Yankees across the finish line. The ALCS MVP hit a two-run homer in the sixth inning to turn a 1-0 deficit into a 2-1 lead. The Dodgers let Jack Flaherty go through the middle of the lineup a third time, then Soto singled and Stanton hit an absolute moonshot. Look at this blast:

I’ve made comments in other reviews about downloadable games like Penny Arcade and Strong Bad in that these games capture the very essence and love of what it is to be a video game. Scott Pilgrim stands firmly in those ranks. It’s a love letter to gaming. The people that created their game knew their stuff, and the end result is something special, once again reminding me why I love this hobby so much.
InScott Pilgrim vs. The World, Scott beats Gideon Graves, reconciles with his dark counterpart Nega-Scott, and ties up his relationship with Knives Chau before following Ramona through the Subspace door. All in all, a great example of the faster pace of the film. In the final volume of the comic, on the other hand, after beating Gideon, we rejoin the characters after some months, where Scott has his life relatively stable, plays in a crappy band with Kim Pine, and says goodbye to Knives as she’s leaving town.Thenhe heads through the door with Ramona, into an unknown future.

Díaz’s hit was one of only two by an Astros team that was colder than the 49-degree first-pitch temperature. An Austin Riley RBI double in the third inning and d’Arnaud’s homer in the eighth were enough to snap Atlanta’s World Series home losing streak at five — their last win was the 1995 title clincher at Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium — and earn back the Series edge over Houston.
Buehler returned from Tommy John surgery this season and it was a pretty disastrous campaign for him, especially given that he’s hitting free agency after this series. He posted a 5.38 ERA and -1.3 WAR. He gave up six runs, all in one inning, in his NLDS start, too, but then bounced back with a pretty solid outing in Game 3 of the NLCS against the Mets. He only lasted four innings, but still: Only three hits and no runs allowed is a nice start. He has never faced the Yankees.
