A 2010 downloadable game by Ubisoft Montreal and Chengdu for PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade based off the comic book series of the same name, it was made in conjunction with the movie adaptation of the series and released onto PlayStation Network the film was due out in theaters; the Xbox LIVE Arcade version of the game came out a week later app for photoshop.
It is a straight old-school brawler against a wave of endless, nameless enemies. The game plays like a trope of every big name brawler out there, but instead of feeling rehashed and “been there, done that”, it’s all a loving homage. Sure, you’ve done some of the scenarios, but not all in the same game at once. It’s fun to go it alone. It’s crazy to go 4 players at once.

O’Malley came to Ubisoft and discussed with the development team how the game’s narrative and flow should be handled. He also drew several sketches on which the in-game cutscenes are based. According to O’Malley, he was initially approached by Telltale Games to make a Scott Pilgrim adventure game, but he declined as he could not see it as part of that genre. O’Malley designed the concept moves and specials of the playable characters and bosses. He began this in the Summer of 2009.
