Open world zombie game
Each unit has its own stats and perks, and the game might actually have a lot more underlying mechanics than it originally leads you to believe. Infantry units have the capability of taking cover in destroyed buildings, some carry anti-tank grenades, and others are harder to spot. https://kfastpitch.com/how-to-become-a-college-basketball-player/ As for tanks, some can destroy wrecks, others will specifically target and destroy enemy tank tracks, some others might be able to damage buildings. There are a lot of perks to memorize. Now multiply that by what looks like it could be about 100 different units, and there’s a lot to learn and memorize here.

Slitherine’s newest wargame Headquarters: World War 2 is a visual delight, and it’s shaping up nicely to be the new entryway for newcomers to the genre. Despite being competent, and easy to get into wargame, I have to be honest, as I don’t consider myself to be entirely convinced by Headquarters: World War 2 just yet, so take my words here with a grain of salt. I believe there’s a lot to be enjoyed here if you’re looking for a Battle Academy replacement. Is Headquarters: World War 2 going to replace other, more realistic wargames? Of course, and I don’t think it’s aiming for that.

The only racer on this list of best open world games, but Forza Horizon 5 more than earns its spot. This arcade racer has you exploring Mexico as the lastest Horizon festival, a huge celebration of all things on four wheels – oh and occassionally some special guests too. It’s stunning, has a banging soundtrack, and constantly offers you something new to do. And of course, the range of cars on offer is staggeringly huge.
Come on, GTA 5 was always going to be in the top five best open-world games. You know it. I know it. It’s the most successful entertainment product of all time, for Christ’s sake! Driving through the winding streets, taking advantage of certain adult clubs, skydiving, stabbing sharks with knives, tracking a serial killer, running from the police (or fighting them if you’re thirsting for that 5-star wanted rating), going full Trevor and causing as much chaos as possible, and do I really need to carry on listing all the stuff you can do? Grand Theft Auto is a web of criminal exploits and mind-boggling potential, with every single inch of the world filled with NPCs to manipulate, missions to hunt down or just colossal heights of shenanigans to engage in. It’ll swallow you whole, spit you out, and have you itching for more.

2001 world series 7 game
With Arizona in a must-win situation, Randy Johnson pitched seven innings and struck out seven, giving up just two runs, and Bobby Witt and Troy Brohawn finished the blowout. The Diamondbacks struck first when Tony Womack hit a leadoff double off of Andy Pettitte and scored on Danny Bautista’s single in the first. Next inning, Womack’s bases-loaded single scored two and Bautista’s single scored another. The Yankees loaded the bases in the third on a single and two walks, but Johnson struck out Jorge Posada to end the inning. The Diamondbacks broke the game open with eight runs in the bottom half. Pettitte allowed a leadoff walk to Greg Colbrunn and subsequent double to Matt Williams before being relieved by Jay Witasick, who allowed four straight singles to Reggie Sanders, Jay Bell, Damian Miller, and Johnson that scored three runs. After Womack struck out, Bautista’s single scored two more runs and Luis Gonzalez’s double scored another, with Bautista being thrown out at home. Colbrunn’s single and Williams’s double scored a run each before Sanders struck out to end the inning. In the fourth, Bell reached first on a strike-three wild pitch before scoring on Miller’s double. Johnson struck out before Womack singled to knock Witasick out of the game. With Randy Choate pitching, Yankees second baseman Alfonso Soriano’s error on Bautista’s ground ball allowed Miller to score and put runners on first and second before Gonzalez’s single scored the Diamondbacks’ final run. Choate and Mike Stanton kept them scoreless for the rest of the game. Pettitte was charged with six runs in two innings while Witasick was charged with nine runs in 1+1⁄3 innings, the most runs allowed by any pitcher in a World Series game since Hall of Famer Walter Johnson also allowed nine runs in Game 7 of the 1925 World Series. The Yankees scored their only runs in the sixth on back-to-back one-out singles by Shane Spencer and Luis Sojo with runners on second and third, but by then the score had become so far out of reach that it didn’t do the Yankees much good. The Diamondbacks hit six doubles and Danny Bautista batted 3-for-4 with five RBIs. The team set a World Series record with 22 hits and defeated the New York Yankees in its most lopsided postseason loss in 293 postseason games, since surpassed by a 16–1 loss to the Boston Red Sox in Game 3 of the 2018 American League Division Series. The 15–2 win evened the series at three games apiece and set up a Game 7 for the ages between Roger Clemens and Curt Schilling.
The New York Yankees on November 4, 2001, were one game from winning their fourth consecutive World Series and their fifth in six years.1 With New York City still shaken by the events of September 11, the Yankees had fought their way through the postseason, providing their city and fans some relief from the devastation.
After Randy Johnson, who had entered with two outs in the eighth inning, kept the Yankees off the board and the score at 2-1, Arizona came to bat in the ninth. The crowd was loud, but not crazy loud. Not with Rivera on the mound. Not after he had convincingly struck out the side in the eighth.
The Series began later than usual as a result of a delay in the regular season after the September 11 attacks and was the first to extend into November. The Diamondbacks won the first two games at home, limiting the Yankees to just one run. The Yankees responded with a close win in Game 3, at which U.S. President George W. Bush threw out the ceremonial first pitch. In Games 4 and 5, the Yankees won in comeback fashion, hitting game-tying home runs off Diamondbacks closer Byung-hyun Kim with one out remaining in consecutive games, before winning in extra innings. The Diamondbacks won Game 6 in a blowout, forcing a decisive Game 7. In the final game, the Yankees led in the ninth inning before the Diamondbacks staged a comeback against closer Mariano Rivera, capped off by a walk-off, bases-loaded bloop single by Luis Gonzalez to clinch Arizona’s championship victory. This was the third World Series to end in a bases-loaded, walk-off hit, following 1991 and 1997, and to this date, the last Series to end on a walk-off of any kind. This series held the record for the latest date that a Series ended (November 4), until that record was tied during the 2009 World Series and broken during the 2022 World Series.
The Diamondbacks’ win in Game 1 was the first World Series game won by a non-New York City team since 1997. In every World Series between 1997 and 2001, either both teams were from New York City or a New York City team won in a sweep (1998 and 1999).
